Do you ever feel unmotivated, tired or angry? Do you ever catch catch your back exhibiting bad posture? Do you find yourself down with a new illness quite often? Well what if I told you that I have a drug that has been around for a very long time that can fix all of that? No I’m not a doctor, but I sure share the love of the very addictive drug called exercise.
Yes exercise can be a daunting task for many people who juggle a job, kids, events and cooking in their daily lives. Have you ever seen a gym parking lot at 6 AM though? Looks pretty full doesn’t it? Well you need to go join the other cars in that parking lot too and I’ll tell you why. What if I told you that exercise can actually prevent illnesses from taking over your body(which mean less sick days), motivate you (which might just help you land that raise you’ve been after), and increase your quality of life(which is what we’re all after)? Doesn’t sound all that bad does it? Well those are some of the rewards that a lot of fit people are taking advantage of daily, and YOU CAN TOO.
Have you ever walked, jogged or ran up some stairs when an elevator wasn’t working or you were late to a meeting? If you don’t exercise quite often, then your breathing and heart rate probably skyrocketed. Well what if you didn’t have to catch your breath after a task like that, but instead it actually felt good? Our body’s are just like any other machine in the world. If you take care of it, it will take care of you. You don’t take care of it, then you will find yourself with a poorly running machine that slows down and breaks down quite often. A machine needs a mechanic and we need a doctor, a machine needs oil and we need food, but most importantly, a machine needs maintenance while we need EXERCISE!
It is easy to come up with a whole bunch of excuses for not joining the gym today. I can practically write a book full of excuses that my dad came up with to delay joining the gym. Don’t you want to feel happy, stress free and motivated? Don’t you want that beach body that catches many peoples eyes? Don’t you want to avoid those miserable stay in my room all day because I’m sick situations? Don’t you want to exhibit good posture that will stop the back pain that is the result of slouching? If you answered yes to any of those rhetorical questions, then you need exercise in your life. Exercise doesn’t have to always be the gym with weights and treadmills. Exercise can be a nice jog with some music, a bike ride in your neighborhood or local park with family or friends ,or it can plainly be a workout in your basement. Enough with excuses already, join the gym or participate in a fun and athletic hobby like mountain biking.
