Why John Cena Will Win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank

by yak max

Many wrestling fans may not like the sound of it, but if I were to bet my money on who would win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Money in The Bank, it’d definitely have to be John Cena, and here’s why.

At Summerslam this year, there has been a lot of buzz about Brock Lesnar coming back and challenging for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and I believe that scenario will occur as it would make a lot of sense from a perfect angle. Brock Lesnar returning to WWE after accomplishing probably one of the greatest feats of all time by defeating the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and now seeing himself as the top tier guy to be WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

So therefore, the winner of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship ladder match would have to be a face; so that cuts down our possible winners to just Roman Reigns, Sheamus, and John Cena.

Odds of it being Sheamus are very low, as he already holds the United States Championship. He hasn’t really built up enough momentum in recent months to win this one. Even though Sheamus has surprised us in the past in upset wins, I just can’t picture anyone holding both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and United States Championship in this current era of the WWE.

As for Roman Reigns, I feel like his chances of winning bulge pretty well. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar at Summerslam would be a classic match, and could really put Reigns over as one of the WWE’s best big man for years to come. Also, let’s not forget that some pretty cool twists could occur in the future as it is very likely that either Seth Rollins or Dean Ambrose will win the actual Money in the Bank Match this year and bring home that briefcase. But the reason I won’t place my bet on Reigns is because he’s already involved in a storyline with the Authority. It’s very likely that Reigns will come close to winning the match, but will get screwed by either the Authority or Seth Rollins.

John Cena has the best chances of winning because he isn’t involved in any current storylines right now, and has a lot of momentum coming into the match after a huge win against Kane in an Ambulence Match past Sunday, and also came out on top of his rivalry with Bray Wyatt by defeating him at Payback in a Last Man Standing Match. If Brock Lesnar is going to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Summerslam, it’ll more likely be against someone who would show the world how dominate he truly is, and who better than the fourteen time world champion, John Cena.

The WWE knows what type of ratings and attention they could get with John Cena, so they’ll more than likely play their cards safely with him becoming champion at Money in the Bank since Summerslam is one of WWE’s biggest pay per views of the year. And let us not forget that the Money in the Bank pay per view will be taking place in Cena’s hometown, Boston.

Though, this is only a prediction, and anything can happen in the WWE. The WWE has shocked fans many times, and I wouldn’t be all that surprised if they did it again by handing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to any of the seven men that are in the match.
