We all have those days where we feel like there just not enough time in the day to complete what we had set out to do. Many of us work, have families and must do what needs to get done when we aren’t tending to work or family. It doesn’t matter though where you live. It’s still the same whether you live in the city or out in the country.
While it is true that living a city life is very busy. You may work a 10-12+ hour shift five days a week at an office or you may work a blue collar job. However, once you are done with work BAM you have more to do. You may have to pick up the kids from the baby sitter, take your children to practice, go to the grocery store, make dinner and other stuff that may be on your list. If you think that country life is different from your city life think again.
Living out in a small town or out in the country really isn’t any different. While I used to think that living in a small town means slower life and while to some it is true. For many it is the same exact thing. You may have to work 10-12+ hours a day five days a week, go grocery shopping, pick up the kids and anything else you have to do.
Nowadays it really doesn’t matter where you live. Our Lives are busy sometimes very busy. We really don’t know where to start to get things done. All we know is when the day starts that is when our lists of things to do starts.
The question then should be where did this all begin? When did our lives become so busy? Do we blame ourselves? Do we blame society in general? How about work? do we blame our jobs. I do believe that it is a little bit ofeverything. I do believe that society in general has become much busier. As time went by we let it get this bad.
The way we live our lives is much busier. Technology also has some blame for it. We have gotten busier as technology advanced. We can do more though with advanced technology. However, we have got to the point in life where we have put way too much on our plates to take care of.
The question we should ask is where can we begin to make it better? The answer is within us. We all complain about not having enough time. Then it is time to make time. How do you do that? That’s the answer that is all in us and that answer is prioritize. You prioritize your life. It’s like budgeting your life to make it better. The idea that we prioritize isn’t something new but we put so much on our plate we forget to prioritize. So, the only true way to change is all down to prioritizing life.
For example, if something is on your list of things to do that really isn’t that big of a deal at that moment in time. Don’t do it. It is that simple. Many of us however don’t really see that. We don’t see that all we have to do is just make sense of our own list.
People don’t realize that if you spend 30 minutes at say starbucks for a quick drink and relax. You can easily miss out on being able to do something that needs to be done or vise versa. If you really need your Starbucks fix than you really have no place to complain. All you can do is drop one of the things to do from your list.
It’s just that no one has a place to complain when there are certain things you can do to make your life easier. Yes there are things we can’t do. Especially when you have a family but if you have a family and you feel like you aren’t spending any kind of time with them. It is time to figure out a plan.
You can take your family to the story with you. If your children do things at school make time to go see them at their events. Like the old saying goes “Where there is a will there is a way.” If you want it bad enough you will make due and make things right. Just understand and don’t forget what is most important to you.
