In the May 12 edition of Raw, Daniel Bryan announces the sad news that he will require surgery and that he will be out indefinitely, but he will come back. The news means a great shock for the WWE Universe, because Daniel Bryan just won his WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Now the company is playing with the idea of stripping Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. What options does the WWE have with the championship? I will discuss the options in this article.
Right now the WWE have a lot of new talent, but doesn’t have a clear contender for Daniel Bryan WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Bray Wyatt would be a great candidate to feud with Daniel Bryan, but right now he is feuding with John Cena and Bray Wyatt message is much more important for him than the WWE World Heavyweight Championship right now. Also, Bray Wyatt is in development, so he is not prepared for the championship yet. John Cena has been the champion for 13 times and he probably will beat Rick Flair record of 16. Could Stephanie McMahon hand out John Cena the title? Only if he became heel. Does John Cena will become a heel? 100% not. Santino Marella has more probability to win the title than John Cena becoming heel. Does Stephanie McMahon hand out the title to his husband and CEO of the company Triple H? That would be a good option, but I doubt it because Triple H is in a great rivalry against The Shield and if the rumors are true, Triple H will face Roman Reigns on SummerSlam. Neither Randy Orton nor Batista because they have also tied in a rivalry against The Shield and Batista will soon take a break of the company to promote his movie. What options are left? Cesaro would be a great option, but he is also in development, so he couldn’t be champion yet. What about the greatest Daniel Bryan rival Vacant? The longest WWE Champion in 2013 was Vacant, because the title was in vacancy for most of the Daniel Bryan and Randy Orton rivalry. That would be a great mistake, because it would be a repetition of history again and Daniel Bryan doesn’t deserve that after all the sacrifices he made to finally climb the ladder.
In conclusion, I think the company best option is to keep Daniel Bryan with the title, because there is nothing more that can be done. However the decision will be influenced about how much time does Daniel Bryan is out. If Daniel Bryan is out only one month then there is a high probability that he will keep the championship, but if Daniel Bryan is out for two or more months then the company probably takes extreme measures. Time will dictate the decision and hopefully May 26 edition of Raw give us more clarity in this issue.
