If you are one of those people who are searching for last minute gifts for your groomsmen here are a few ideas that I have come up with that just might work for you.
Gift Idea #1:
Dinner and a Movie – Most of us enjoy a night out at the movies, what we don’t enjoy is the price, but if the movie is a good one and demands the big screen we are willing to pay the price to see it. Give your groomsmen the gift a not only a movie, but dinner and a movie and even better yet, make it for two. This would fall within a reasonable price range for acceptable spending on this type of gift without looking cheap. You can get gift certificates at most any restaurant as well as in the movie theater. Get a small box like one that a pen set comes in and you can simply fold them up in a clean piece of paper, put them in the box which you will tape shut and put a simple bow on top. This makes for a simple but elegant look for your gift to those special men that are standing up for your husband and you on this special day.
Gift Idea #2:
Lottery Tickets – I don’t know anyone who would not like to win the lottery or any money for that matter or the next best thing, a chance to win lottery money. Why not buy your groomsmen a variety of scratches and some lottery tickets with numbers you pick for them. You can spend whatever amount you have set as your price per groomsman and you should be able to purchase several scratchers at various prices and a few of the lottery tickets. If you’re lucky and they get lucky they just might share their new found riches with you so it is actually the gift that keeps giving back.
Gift Idea #3:
Micro-brew Beer & Engraved Glass – With micro brewing being all the rage these days people seem to be into beer in the same way they have been into wines for many years. With so many different brews to choose from, it would make a great gift to have a case of different beers so that the person receiving the gift has the opportunity to try varieties they normally might not get to. Stepping the gift up a notch would be to include one or two special beer drinking glasses or even mugs as some people still enjoy their beer from a mug. You can have this personally engraved to make it a more personal and memorable gift.
Gift Idea #4:
Day Pass to an Amusement Park – Depending on where you live there are different amusement parks around and most should be within what is considered a reasonable price range to be spent on each groomsman. Where I live some such amusement parks would be Disneyland, Knottsberry Farm, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, or Magic Mountain to name a few. Giving the gift of tickets for two since most people don’t go to such places alone would make for a great day of fun and a great way to say thank you to these men for participating in your wedding.
Don’t make yourself crazy, just use your imagination, consider what each man likes and hit the internet where you can find just about anything. This should be fun and memorable for everyone after all it is your wedding day and they are standing up for you.
