What Are the Best Candidates for the Intercontinental Title?

by yak max

It appears that the WWE Intercontinental Championship is cursed. Bad News Barrett was getting a good push and when he was getting a great momentum, he gets injured. It is very sad to watch talent like Daniel Bryan and Bad News Barrett getting injured in the prime of their careers. Now that the Intercontinental Championship is in vacancy there will be a Battle Royal at Battleground in which there will be decide who will be the new Intercontinental Champion. In this article I will talk about the three possible candidates to win the Intercontinental Championship.

  • 1) Cesaro. He is the favorite to win the Battle Royal. After all he won the Andre The Giant Battle Royal and he has vast experience destroying his enemies. However, there are two problems. First, he has an eye injury that can take him out of wrestling indefinitely. The second reason is that the WWE risks Cesaro of getting the Curtis Axel treatment and get trapped in the midcard. Curtis Axel was the Paul Heyman client and he was a very weak champion. The same can happen to Cesaro if the WWE can’t manage the situation wisely.
  • 2) RVD. What important accomplishment does RVD has achieved since his last two returns? None. He has being losing constantly and has being used as a ladder for the young talent. I think is good for RVD to help young talent because he has achieved all when he was younger. The problem is that if WWE wants RVD to look like a threat then they need to put him a belt around his waist. The WWE World Heavyweight Championship is not for him, but at least he deserves the Intercontinental Championship. When RVD retires then at least he can remember that he has a great last run in the WWE.
  • 3) Bo Dallas. Bo Dallas makes a promo on the June 30, 2014 edition of Raw. He tells the crowd to do a minute of silence in the memory of the injured superstars Daniel Bryan and Bad News Barrett. He can take Barrett place and won the Intercontinental Championship. This would be a great way to give Bo Dallas a great push. He is the only that can take Barrett position because he can deliver great promos. Neither Cesaro nor RVD can deliver great promos.

In conclusion, I think that Bo Dallas is the perfect fit for the Intercontinental Championship. He is young, talented and great delivering promos. This can give the Intercontinental Championship important TV time that can raise the valor of the title. WWE needs champions who have the whole package, not only in-ring skills but microphone skills. Bo Dallas is the perfect package to raise the bar of the Intercontinental Championship. This can open the opportunity for other young talents like Fandango, Adam Rose and always the great showman, Dolph Ziggler.
