When it comes to a wedding, wedding invitations are a vital piece that gives a small peek into the theme and style of the wedding. It is important that the invitation is a good reflection of the elegance and beauty of the wedding.
My fiancé and I have been researching what wedding invitations are the best, and we have found three main ones, which are the current trends; however, we have found a forth idea, which is pretty interesting. I will discuss each of the trends and themes in detail and hopefully this will give you some insight for what you might want for your wedding.
Lace and Damask
This is a classic wedding theme where the invitations will have the lace knotted over front of the invitations. This is a constant trend that seems timeless as its elegance and beauty is almost fitting for anyone’s taste. Here are some images on the invitations that could be used to go along with a lace and damask wedding, here and here.
This is a new trend which is recently becoming bigger in 2014. Floral weddings have always been around in the background; however, this year is where these weddings are coming alive with blooms and shabby chic patterns. Floral weddings are very beautiful with their touch on nature and beauty that they combine very well to make an overall spectacular wedding. Here are some images of a floral wedding and floral wedding invitations which bloom with color.
Hint of Sparkle
A hint of sparkle works wonders in a wedding as it isn’t too flashy and has the appropriate transition from white to nice gold color. The invitations will typically have a focus or symbol in gold which will take up half of the invitation while having a nice font on the invitation on the other side. These weddings are a lot more modern and are definitely beginning to rise in 2014; they would be a good way to go if this is the design you prefer. Here are some images of a wedding and invitation with this theme.
However, there are now custom made wedding invitations now with new laser cutting techniques, you can send your own personalized design to a website and have it created uniquely for you and your wedding. Knowing that no one else will have that design is quite satisfying over other wedding invitations made in bulk which will be used for many weddings. This will also make it so your wedding doesn’t have a label on it and doesn’t dictate the theme of your wedding. here and here are some pictures of laser cut wedding invitations. These don’t even scratch the surface of how many different concepts and designs you could have for them. Personally I think this is the best way to go for wedding invitations since, with this way, you will have a unique twist and personalization on your special day.
