Fans have been excited for Watch Dogs since it was first announced at E3 2012. This open world action-adventure game will release on May 27 for the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One, and at an unknown later date for the Wii U. The different versions are virtually identical in content, except for an hour’s worth of extra content coming to Sony’s consoles.
Data, hacking, and technology are all key elements of Watch Dogs. The main character is Aiden Pearce, a hacker in a fictionalized Chicago. Players will use Aiden’s skills to gain information, control electronics systems, and similar things. Everything in the city is connected through the Central Operating System, or CtOS, which makes Aiden’s skills especially useful.
The main campaign will last about 35-40 hours (slightly longer on the PS3 and PS4 consoles, as noted above), but there will be plenty for players to do beyond that. Since it is an open world, and one which is open from the very start, there are side missions as well. To complete the game entirely, it could take up to 100 hours, and there will still be content and certain types of missions that continue after that. With a variety of multiplayer modes, which range from racing, Decryption challenges, sneaking into another player’s game, and more, you’ll be able to keep playing Watch Dogs indefinitely. Every new detail revealed about it has made fans more excited, especially since its hacking premise is fairly unique in today’s gaming market.
The hacking gameplay suggests there is a puzzle-like element to the gameplay. After all, in a given situation, you will need to decide if you are going to fight, hack into the system or electronic devices to cause some sort of distraction, or otherwise handle it. Figuring out what can be accomplished should provide a nonlinear experience, where different players can go through the game in different ways. Combat itself includes parkour moves, stealth elements, and a cover system, resulting in another varied approach.
At this point, speculation is all that’s possible when it comes to Watch Dogs cheats. It wouldn’t be at all surprising if players compiled strategies of how to pass certain points in the game, although with the developers’ insistence that every playthrough will be a unique experience, there could be quite a few variations. We can expect hacking tips, combat advice, and lists of missions and their rewards. Fans will probably develop and share techniques to win multiplayer games, as well. Of course, there’s always the possibility that there will be guides to help players earn particularly tricky achievements and trophies, as well. There could be unlockables and secrets to discover, and probably at least a few Easter eggs, even references to other Ubisoft titles.
Of course, once the game is released, we’ll know a lot more. Until then, we can share our predictions and theories about how Aiden’s hacking story will unfold, and what sorts of Watch Dogs cheat codes and other, similar functionality we may see.
