Warrior’s Heart

by yak max

Time Frozen in the silent tears that threaten to break free.
As her heart is broken by the pain and realization that he would never give her his full love and trust.
There time apart had made him cold and indifferent towards her.
And that was a pain that she could have done without.
She longed for the love and passion the he once had shown her.
She wanted the fire back that he had once shown her he possessed.
But the coolness he now showed her was more than she could bear.
Her heart was fierce, strong and possessive of what was hers.
She couldn’t bear anyone touching what was hers, the very thought tore her apart inside.
His love was something more than anything she had ever experienced.
His love made her come alive with a woman’s passion, with a woman’s heart and emotions.
It was more than she had ever dreamed of, more than she deserved.
He had no idea how bad he had hurt her by his actions.
But the pain that was visible in her somber green eyes spoke of things he didn’t yet understand.
His heart he had shut her out of cause the pain there was more than he could endure.
He couldn’t trust her not to hurt him again, but yet he wanted to give her everything.

But at last he couldn’t trust her with the one thing she had begged him for.
And that hurt her more than any weapon he could have used on her.
The pain written in her once bright eyes told him he had went to far this time.
He made the light go out in her beautiful soul, and he knew it was his fault.
He had pushed her away one to many times, and now he was paying with his own hurt.
And he had no one to blame but himself, for a fools mistake, one that should have never been made.
But he had made it out of anger and hurt, but regret filled his heart now.
His arms ached to hold her, but her trust issues kept him at bay.
Her heart had been wounded by his own stupidity, and that was a mistake he intended to correct.
If it took him a billion life times to prove his love for her, he would do it.
It was all her heart could do to look at him in the hope that he would return her love.
But it seemed as tho he held that part of him in reserve, away from her.

And this tore at her heart so bad, she wanted to scream until she could scream no more.
Her tears sparkled on her eye lashes, threatened to fall down her cheeks.
But she refused to let him see the hurt he had dealt her.
Her fierceness of heart wouldn’t allow her to be broken by him again.
It fought her tooth and nail as she tried to hold her composure.
Her tears were brimming in her eyes, and her heart refused to be hurt again.
But she wanted him so much that her very being ached for his touch.
But was she willing to let him that close to her again, was the question that lingered in the back of her mind.

Everything in her told her he couldn’t be trusted with her heart ever again.
He had broken her trust so many times, his promises were empty to her.
She knew in her heart that she would never be complete again.
Until she found away to let him close to her, he would always be at arms length.
But something inside her kept prodding her not to let him close.
But something inside her heart kept falling, her resistance was weakening.
With every look, every kiss she wanted to melt inside and let him claim her.
But her warriors heart refused to give her peace, until she made him hers for all eternity.
But something kept her from giving in, and that troubled her.
She wondered if he would ever let his guard down, just long enough to touch his heart.
And let him into hers once more, but every time she tried it was the same.
She pushed him away all tho she wanted to tear him to shreds with her passion.
She held him at arms length, afraid to trust her own self.
Her Warriors Heart always held her in check.
It wouldn’t let her forget the hurt he had dealt her.

She felt so empty inside, where once she had been filled to brimming over.
And this was caused by his hurtful actions those many months ago.
And her Warriors Heart never let her forget, no matter how hard she tried.
It wouldn’t let her release herself to just be loved, nor could she trust him.
And trust was such a delicate thing that could be broken so easy.
This tore her heart apart, as she was torn by the different emotions that flooded her.
She wondered in her mind, was he worth another chance?
Would she ever be able to trust him again, would she be able to love him again.
These thoughts ripped through her like a tornado out of control.
Her emotions so raw and ragged from all the things he had said.
She didn’t know where or what to do, her emotions were so turbulent inside her.
She thought her body was going to be ripped apart, by the things she was facing.
Her mind in turmoil over what she had to do, as her Warriors Heart tried to give her the strength.
She knew she must come to trust him or their love didn’t stand a chance.
Nor could her heart take any more pain nor sorrow, her hurt screamed out to her.

She could no longer deny what she was feeling inside, tho the answers blinded her.
Her fierce heart thudded against her ribs at this thought, it overwhelmed her.
Could love be that strong? Could she have missed something?
Was this even a possibility? Her heart raced with this new knowledge.
She must find a way to quiet her Warriors Hearts fears, and this wasn’t going to be easy.
But she had a plan and sent a silent plea up that it would work.
Now all she had to do was let go of the hurt just long enough to give him her whole heart.
And this was a task that was going to take everything she had to pull it off.
But she knew she could always trust the warrior in her, to give her the strength she needed.
She would have to brave her darkest fear she had, and that was being alone.
And this thought tore at her already wounded heart.
Would love be stronger than her fear? Would she have what it took?
Would her Warriors Heart be strong enough?
