The Santa Barbara Harbor & Seafood Festival – Coming this October so you have plenty of time to prepare to attend this festival, make sure to mark it on your calendar. Proceeding the Parade of Lights that takes place in December this festival will fill the Santa Barbara Harbor with over 1,100 boats. An annual event was originally featured as a “Blessing of the Fleet” for decades while over the years it reinvented itself into a fundraiser to afford a local home for unwed mothers. Join the masses and enjoy succulent seafood including barbecued albacore and of course it would not be complete without offering lobsters, one of my favorites as well as other seafood seafood delights. There will also be marine related information and demonstrations. Admission is Free! To view the list of food and non-food exhibitors visit their Vendor Location page.
Avocado Festival – Everything avocado including drinks, heaven on earth for the avocado lover! Please do not bring your dogs, this is a people on festival unless you require a seeing eye dog they will be welcome. With 2013 being a great success you won’t want to miss out on this years so keep checking their website for the current information and dates of this event.
