HBO’s thrilling and mystical series Game of Thrones is set to kick off its fourth season on Sunday, April 6. Many eyes will be fixated on the screen that picks up where the unnerving season three left off, and although I don’t want to spoil anything, the creepy Walder Frey was at the center of the happenings that stained the end of the prior season.
Alas, one can hope for more thrills and moments of awe in the upcoming season, and they will surely be getting it. For those bookworms, this season will roughly follow the second half of George R.R. Martin’s third book in the magnificent series of fantasy books, A Storm of Swords.
What Can We Expect From Season Four of Game of Thrones?
We can expect debauchery, death, greed, heroic acts and all of the things that the previous three seasons have given us. Thank goodness HBO has the budget to pull off the feat of showing this adventure on the screen, because it really is stupendous to see the author of the books be involved with show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. The show is fantastic stuff and this season will be no different.
Will Joffrey’s Marriage Work?
Season three brought us the Red Wedding and this season will bring us another flavor. King Joffrey is set to wed Margaery Tyrell at King’s Landing this series, something we have long heard about.
No matter who you are, if you have watched the show, you will know how terrible the one who calls himself the king is. And it begs one to wonder, will his marriage with her work? One is prone to think not.
Bless the Starks
Game of Thrones has so far shown much heartache for the family from Winterfell, however, there still remains hope for some of the pups. Bran has become a very intriguing character, as has his sisters, Arya and Stansa. The maturity and courage of these three is set to continue this season and one can hope for the best. The show this far has shown us reason to believe in the remaining Starks, and we can definitely expect season four to show how important the wolves from the north really are.
Sit back and enjoy the show, because it really is going to be a fun ride. Make some beignets, or your favorite snack and be prepared to be amazed.
