If you’re continually struggling to get your article marketing program working, many times it’s as simple as a little patience. You see, using articles to advertise your business is an effective means to get the exposure you, or your business may need. However, if not done correctly, you might not be taken seriously once readers check out your work.
One the most important aspects of article marketing is volume. It would be extremely rare for only a few articles to elevate you or your business to superstar status. Instead, writing consistently and with a sense of urgency is key to your success. This is true for nearly every instance when article marketing is involved. One of the great things about article marketing is your ability to write as much as you know about your topic, and each article adds to your cache of great work. Remember, each article by itself won’t do much for you, but a growing library of great content surely will. You just need to understand this type of marketing takes time, but the payoff is much greater and sustainable, too.
Try an eBook!
I know this might seem kind of “out there” for you at this point, but after you’ve written dozens of articles on your topic, you can publish these in eBook format and either sell it, or offer it up to your readers as a gift. Either way, the opportunity is there for you to make money writing – maybe in a way you weren’t considering.
EBooks are handy because readers consider them as a collection they can refer to over and over for information or just a good read. To many readers, this is valuable.
Time for a website?
Depending on where you are in your article marketing venture, maybe it’s time to start publishing your articles on your blog or website. Hosting today is very inexpensive, but stay away from the totally free sites. These aren’t meant for businesses in my opinion, because they don’t reflect the nature of your own business, but rather a general category. The Internet is just too competitive and you need to stand out with your unique quality. A free site won’t do this for you.
Already on the Internet? That’s great if you are, but are you advertising right now, before you have any readers? If you are, this is a mistake. It’s best if you hold off on advertising anything until you have around 20 new visitors per day hitting your site. This means 20 visitors found your site via search, meaning your articles are gaining traction in the search pages. Once you’re regularly getting new traffic, keep adding content and slowly introduce your money pages (those that will produce income) and if they trust you, they will consider your offerings.
