Got wine on the mind? Visit beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona, and try one of these terrific and trendy wine bars! All four of these historic downtown locations are amazing and guaranteed to satisfy any wine-o-holic’s thirst!
1. The Wine Loft: Located off of Route 66 on North San Francisco Street, the Wine Loft is a prime downtown destination. My favorite part is the quaint furnished area that looks down and views the action of downtown through a grand glass window. They have a large variety of tables and a great bar where you can sit and enjoy yourself. They have a wholesome wine and beer selection, but one thing that separates the Wine Loft from other wine bars is their huge list of games you can check out and play while you drink your delicious beer or wine. From Dominoes and Sorry, to Monopoly and Scrabble, they almost have more types of games than drinks! They also have awesome daily specials and happy hours, such as Cheese and Chocolate Fridays. Price range: $-$$. 17 N. San Francisco St. Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
2. Vino Loco Wine Shop & Bar: This chic wine bar is a favorite spot of many Flagstaffian’s. They recently moved to a larger downtown location on Birch Ave. Vino Loco is equipped with so much amenities-you will love visiting this wine bar! They have a beer and wine tasting room, a wine club you can join, and above all a superb beer and wine selection– by the glass or bottle. Try the ‘Old Ghost’ Old Vine Zinfandel; rumored to be absolutely heavenly. Located at 22 E Birch Ave #1, Flagstaff, AZ 86001 (928) 226-1764. Price range: $-$$.
3. Brix Wine Bar and Restaurant: Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar is known for their exquisite fine dining and wine menus. This upscale wine bar is a terrific place to celebrate a fancy or romantic occasion, such as Valentine’s Day or an anniversary. They usually offer some kind of luxurious five course menu option or delightful specials on most holidays. Their modern decadent atmosphere really gives your wining and dining experience a unique memorable feeling that will warm up your evening. Their menu consists of American style cuisine, and they thrive themselves on using only the freshest of ingredients from many local farmers and ranchers. Brix Restaurant & Wine Bar is located in the Carriage House building at 413 North San Francisco Street, and is open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday starting at 5 pm. Price range: $$-$$$ .
4. Cuvee 928: This wine bar and café is open for lunch, dinner, and Sunday Brunch. Cuvee 928 has a perfectly balanced blend of warm spirit, cuisine, and most importantly beverages. They have one of the largest selections of wine in Flagstaff and it is offered by the bottle or by the glass. Cuvee 928 offers weather-permitting patio seating outside on heritage square, (great for sight-seeing!) and they recently expanded so that they now offer a full selection of liquor and cocktails. Try their special Bourbon peach tea! Located at 6 East Avenue in Flagstaff, Arizona.
