Not everyone can afford a Prius, but many people want to go as green as possible with their cars. From my first car, I loved being as green as I could with car care. One day, I might have the green transportation of my dreams, but until then, I’ll enjoy these top five car products.
Simple Green
My first foray into green products has been one of my favorites. Indeed, many people’s favorites, as this product has withstood the test of time. For over thirty years, Simple Green has ranked on the top of green product lists. Now, they offer Wash & Wax. They’re eco-green; they smell green. The products are even a natural green color. What’s not to love?
Earth Friendly Ice Melt
Salt is natural, right? Natural, yes, but not green on your icy driveway. Earth Friendly’s Ice Melt is the best alternative to salt. It’s less corrosive than salt or sand on your car’s paint. Plus, you’ll get to see green grass alongside your driveway come Earth Day. It’s all too easy to confuse natural with eco-friendly. You don’t have to worry about green washing with this company.
Earth Friendly Orange Plus Waterless Hand Cleaning Towels
If you did want to wash your hands, after working on your car, Earth Friendly has your back with these hand wipes as well. I don’t normally rank two products from one company on my Top Five lists, but this is an exception. My car mechanic is in no way green. Yet, he keeps these wipes all around his garage. If we can both agree on a cleaning product, it has to make the list.
Biokleen
If Earth Friendly products make the list, then Biokleen has to as well. Walk through any store that stocks green cleaning products, and you’ll find these two product lines. Both companies have fierce loyalty. I’ve used them both, and will leave it to you to decide who outranks whom. It’s safe to say they both belong in the top five green cleaning products.
Nature’s Green Magic
Want to minimize wasting water while washing the car? Green magic gets the car clean without water or chemicals. Feel free to shine up the hybrid, without washing toxins down your sewer.
Whether you’re cleaning your car, or cleaning up yourself after working on your car, there are great products for your health and the environment. Driving an eco-friendly car doesn’t have to mean just alternative fuels. Green auto care is just as easy and convenient as conventional products.
