If you are planning on getting an early start to your day in Salem, Massachusetts, you should have breakfast out at one of the restaurants in this historic city.
Here are the top five breakfast places in Salem, Massachusetts:
Brother’s Deli & Restaurant
Address: 283 Derby Street, Salem, Massachusetts
Brothers Deli & Restaurant, which is located across the street from the New England Pirate Museum, is one of the best breakfast spots in Salem. It has great hours, food, and a relaxing atmosphere. The hours of operation are the same for every day of the week, 6:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The restaurant also has scrumptious food that will make you desire to come back often. Some of their best dishes are a Reuben with corn chowder, omelets, and corned beef. As for their atmosphere, it is casual and friendly.
I actually went to this restaurant in January of 2014. When I went I ordered French toast with bacon on the side. It was delicious. A friendly piece of advice is to check Restaurant.com for any special discount before visiting the restaurant.
Address: 232 Essex Street, Salem, Massachusetts
Another great breakfast place that is located in Salem is the Fountain Place. This breakfast and lunch restaurant opens at 7:00 am each morning, and has affordable food that comes in good-sized portions. Like many of the other restaurants on this list, it has a friendly atmosphere. Try some of their delectable sandwiches; you won’t go home hungry.
Address: 18 Washington Square West, Salem, Massachusetts
Nathaniel’s is another restaurant in Salem that I would recommend for breakfast. It is located on the first floor of the Hawthorne Hotel, and has an upscale environment. I believe Nathaniel’s is a great restaurant for anyone who enjoys a nice breakfast. Lastly, the hotel itself is a fun place to stay.
Nick’s Firehouse Coffee Shop
Address: 30 Church Street, Salem, Massachusetts
For its casual atmosphere, great breakfast options, and excellent service, I would also recommend visiting Nick’s Firehouse Coffee Shop for breakfast. The location of the restaurant is also superb, as it is very close to the Peabody Essex Museum.
Red’s Sandwich Shop
Address: 15 Central Street, Salem, Massachusetts
The last restaurant on my list of the top five best breakfast places in Salem, Massachusetts is Red’s Sandwich Shop. This restaurant is very popular because of its great food, but there are often available tables. The hours are also convenient, as the restaurant opens every day at 5:00 am except for Sunday when the doors open at 6:00 am.
