Looking for some new, exciting family activities for the summer? Take a trip back in time and enjoy a movie at a good old-fashioned drive-in theater. If you have a newborn at home, this is a great way to be able to spend time with your older kids without having to find a babysitter. Take a night to reminisce about simpler times, and let your children experience a taste of the past.
With the closing of the Kenwood Drive-In Theater, there are no longer any drive-ins in Louisville, Kentucky. However, there are several that are very close to the Louisville area. You can take a short drive to the Georgetown Theater, which is probably as close as any other movie theater in this area. Or go just a little over an hour away to either Skyline or Twin Hills Drive-In. You could go just for the movie or make a day trip out of it. Harrodsburg is a historic town with lots of great sightseeing opportunities for your family.
