It’s summer timer and all schools are out (well unless you are going to summer school like me), and it’s time to relax a little more and catch up on the fun we’ve missed out on during the fall and spring. Here’s a list of songs that are a sure fire way to.
“Frontin” by Pharrell featuring Jay-Z
This is one of those laid-back house party jams that seem to make my list every summer. There’s nothing like a good early new millennium throwback that will have the crowd bobbing heads and rocking from side to side.
“Midnight City” by M83
M83 is a new band to me, but there electro pop style will surely bring partygoers to the clubs.
“We Got It Wrong” by St. Lucia
I love this band. They give me an 80’s pop feel with their catchy upbeats. I can see myself partying at the beach or the club to this electro pop melody.
“Dark Horse” by Katy Perry featuring Juicy J
This is a popular song on the airwaves right now and I think it will appeal to the hip-hop lovers as well as the pop lovers.
“Man of the Year” by Schoolboy Q
Schoolboy Q is getting more and more popular, and this new single is giving me club banger vibes.
“Numb” by Rihanna featuring Eminem
This song has a hip-hop, reggae, and pop beat, and that’s a good combination for a great party time jam.
“She Knows” by J. Cole featuring Amber Coffman
The semi-fast beat to this summer favorite has butts out seats and on dance floors leading into the summer.
“A Sky Full of Stars” by Coldplay
This is a new one from Coldplay’s new album Ghost Stories. Coldplay’s music is timeless and this song is sure to be a timeless fist pumper.
“Understand Me” by Problem
Problem is another new artist on my radar and his single “Understand Me” has that west coast hip-hop party vibe.
“Born for This” by Paramore
This is a good one for the alternative/rock lovers that will be sure to have you rocking it out.
