Those nights when we are tossing and turning and we just can’t seem to fall asleep can become a problem. Fatigue and mental fogginess can set in throughout the daytime, as our bodies need rest to help replenish energy and keep our immune system healthy. If you are trying to sleep without any luck and you don’t want to take medicine, here are some natural ways to get to sleep.
1. Meditate: Just close your eyes and watch any thoughts that go by. Just let emotions and feelings go. Be present. A fan or light music can help to calm your mind. This allows your mind to process what it needs to before you go to sleep. .
2. Valerian Root: This herb is excellent for sleep. I personally find it to be one of the few herbs that you can really tell the difference with after taking.
3. Melatoinin: This is a naturally occurring chemical in your brain that is triggered when the lights go out to help you fall asleep. However, you can also buy this hormone over the counter and even children can take it with a doctor’s advice. Melatonin is a precursor to serotonin, which helps us feel good during the day.
If you make sure to spend a little time to relax before you go to bed, it will help out a lot when it comes to getting your sleep. That will help a lot in combination with one of the three remedies.
