I’ll be honest; when I buy Easter presents, I typically start with my children. However, adults love receiving gifts on Easter too. At least, I do. If you are going to be a guest at someone’s house this year, you can bring a Easter basket for the hosts. You can also surprise a friend or family member with a thoughtful gift. This year, show someone you care with one of these themed Easter basket ideas for adults.
Cooking Easter Basket
If you have an adult friend who loves to cook, you could purchase a canvas bag in a spring color. Then, fill it with bunny shaped cookie cutters, sprinkles in spring shades and some themed baking cups.
Having hosted Easter brunch in the past, I enjoyed having Easter themed items for entertaining. Items such as Easter egg salt and pepper shakers are a cute touch. I like this inexpensive option from Kirkland.com. You could also purchase a table runner. Likewise, some themed napkins or napkin rings are another nice idea. I love these Peter Rabbit napkins from Meri Meri.
Wine and Chocolates
Chocolates may seem like something that everyone gets for Easter. However, as an adult, I can really taste the difference between real chocolate and the kind made from mostly sugar and hydrogenated vegetable oil. For adults, try this Organic Fair Trade Vegan Dark Chocolate Bunny from Sjaak’s and a great bottle of wine. Another idea is to purchase a wine and chocolate gift set, like this one from Theo Chocolate. The Cabernet and dark chocolate is perfectly paired to take the guesswork out of gift giving for you. If your gift recipient doesn’t care for wine, they also have a beer and chocolate pair kit along with a few varieties of drinking chocolate. All these selections use organic and fair trade chocolate.
Taste of Spring
If you know someone who likes to garden, you could provide them with some herbs seeds like cilantro, parsley and dill. Veggies are also something you can grow. Check out this planting guide from Huffington Post to help you decide what seeds to include in your gift. You can also include a trowel and some gardening gloves. If your gift recipient doesn’t like to garden, you might consider picking out some fresh fruit or flowers (or both) to include in the basket.
Glam Easter Egg Decorating Kit
Even as an adult, I still enjoy decorating Easter eggs. While basic dyes are fun, I like to do some more sophisticated designs. Some ideas include putting craft glue along with different shades of powdered glitter in a basket so your recipient can make some elegant glitter covered eggs. Another idea is this adorable chalkboard egg decorating set from Williams-Sonoma.
Biblical Easter Basket
For believers, the true meaning of Easter lies in the resurrection of Jesus. This John 3:16 mini mounted print is a great reminder of the significance of Easter. Pair this with a favorite devotional book and an Easter bookmark.
These themed easter basket ideas for adults will delight any friend or family member on Easter.
