The Grand Theft Auto series is one of the most popular video game series in the world, with its open world gameplay and criminal-focused stories. Grand Theft Auto V is the most recent entry to be released, and with its heists, shooting, and other illegal activities at its core, it’s no wonder that there are a lot of weapons for players to choose from. Most are firearms, but there is a category for melee weapons, as well.
In GTA V, you have eight weapon slots, and you use a weapon wheel to cycle between them. Each of the eight slots is for a different weapon category: Pistols, Machine Guns/Sub-machine Guns, Assault Rifles, Sniper Rifles, Melee Weapons, Shotguns, Heavy Weapons, and Throwable Weapons. Multiple weapons can be carried in each slot. Additionally, all of the weapons have different stats you need to take into account when you choose them: Damage, Fire Rate, Accuracy, and Range. Some weapons can also be modified with weapon attachments, such as the Suppresser, which reduces the noise of your gunshot. This can be advantageous, because if a police officer is close enough to hear the noise from your shot, your Wanted level may increase. However, the Suppressor also lowers the weapon’s damage and range.
You can buy your weapons with in-game cash at the Ammu-Nation store, although more powerful weapons will only become accessible to you after you’ve progressed in the story. Other weapons come with certain DLC content.
Whichever weapons you choose, you can be certain there are a lot of cheat codes at hand for you to employ and make your weapons even more powerful. For example, while ammunition is usually something very important to have a supply of, there is a cheat code that gives you infinite ammo, so you never have to worry about running out. Another cheat gives you explosive ammo, so every bullet you fire will explode, regardless of what type of weapon it is, and another cheat adds explosions to your melee attacks. Similarly, you can use a cheat to get flaming bullets. On the other hand, if you need a little help with aiming, a cheat will slow things down so you can aim your weapon in slow-motion for maximum accuracy.
For that matter, you can enter a cheat to spawn new weapons.
Of course, this all might sound like it’s too good to be true-and it is, in a sense. While you can use all of these GTA V cheats as often as you like just by entering the correct combination of buttons and D-pad commands, you can’t use cheat codes during missions. If you try, they won’t work. If you activate a cheat and then begin a mission, it will deactivate. You can’t get any achievements while your cheats are active, either. For either type of game progression, you’ll need to do it yourself, without cheats.
Nevertheless, as you can see, there are lots of good weapon cheats for you to play around with, as well as a huge variety of weapons in the game.
