Stupidity is a disease that has spread at an alarming rate. Nearly 6 out of every 10 people you know suffer from it. This disease is not partial to any race, gender, social class or occupation. Business persons, politicians, physicians, lawyers, and even so-called intellectuals can be stricken with this sad and swift ailment.
Anyone dealing with the public has a first-hand look at the effects of this disease on a regular basis. Having worked in various retail settings, my most recent tenure in a wireless retail store granted an overwhelming exposure to the ding bats and airheads among us. It’s funny how people can mistake a computer screen for a magic wand. Everyone thinks you are single handedly responsible for every level of operation within the wireless giant for which I was a mere sales rep. “You charged me too much…” “You’ns cut my phone off…” “I ain’t payin’ that (expletive)” “My lawyer will take care of that…” Bc you can’t pay your $39 cell phone bill but you keep an attorney on retainer…perfectly logical. Just yesterday a client where I currently work requested that I fax her a document that she needed to sign. Upon my inquiry into the number which to fax the document I was informed that she does not have a fax! Let me know if you figure that one out..
Don’t feel like a loner or an outcast if you can turn a doorknob, speak clear and proper English, reason, articulate your thoughts, drive, or function in society..there are a few of us left. Intelligence is endangered and it does not appear that it will prevail. Good luck wading your way through the deep idiocy of the world. I commend you on your bravery and perseverance in staying smart. Remember…it is contagious! Be safe.
