Let’s face it, not a lot of people watch TNA wrestling. Recently, owner Bob Carter had the option of selling TNA to former wrestler Jeff Jarrett and country music star Toby Keith but the deal fell through. Why? Because Bob Carter wanted his daughter Dixie to remain as an on air character for TNA. It’s that type of mindset that has led to all of TNA’s shortcomings.
As long as TNA continues down its current path, it’s going to fail. Same faces, same story. TNA is in desperate need of a new booker. A man with wrestling experience who can come in and do what’s best for business. Someone with no agendas and who doesn’t play politics. TNA needs Jim Ross.
Jim Ross has been a staple in the wrestling business for over 30 years. The most under appreciated talent in recent history. WWE has completely dropped the ball by letting JR slip away. The man IS wrestling.
JR would be worth every penny TNA would have to pay for his services. In fact, I’d over pay for him and lock him into the longest contract possible. Giving JR creative control would instantly give TNA credibility in the wrestling world. Let him do the hiring, firing and booking. The product would get an instant boost and they’d see a spike in ratings. Hell, he could even commentate if they needed him to.
Not only would JR help TNA in a major way but it’d make WWE look bad for letting him go. It seems like a win win to me. Unfortunately, TNA isn’t known for making good business decisions.
