Our President has won two elections. The “Party of No” has tried everything they could think of to tarnish his legacy. At the expense of the 99% they have obstructed legislation. Now they want to try new tactics to run him down, but they don’t want to alienate voters whose minds aren’t made up so they will let everyone else bring up the idea of impeachment. After studying polls they will decide if they can gain political advantage by impeaching another Democratic President over nothing. Some of them remember how it didn’t go well for them when they did it to President Clinton. The character traits I associate with the “Party of No” are spineless and unethical.
The article “Obama Calls Boehner Lawsuit Threat a ‘Stunt'” shows the duplicity of the GOP propagandists.
The article states “Despite Republican House Speaker John Boehner’s threat this week to sue President Obama over his use of executive orders, the president refused to apologize for his actions during an exclusive interview with ABC News and took the Republican Party to task for what he described as its attempt to interfere with the basic functions of government.”
Yes, as the article notes our President said, “I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something while they’re doing nothing.”
It is simply history that the “Party of No”, at a record breaking rate, has filibustered legislation.
Our President noted that Boehner couldn’t pick out an area to attack with as the article quotes our President saying “You notice that he didn’t specifically say what exactly he was objecting to.”
The GOP propagandists lied us into the Iraq war-if they were unethical enough to do that there really aren’t any depths of depraving they can’t descend to, and now they are pondering if impeaching our President will work to their advantage. The article “Boehner Insists Obama Lawsuit ‘Not About Impeachment'” notes that Boehner made a special effort to rule out impeachment. Whatever the propagandists in the “Party of No” say is misinformation. I assume the lawsuit is about impeachment. The article’s title “When It Comes To Abuse Of Presidential Power, Obama Is A Mere Piker” tells the story.
The article states “The average for all twenty presidents is 44 per annum (p.a.)…..So far, Mr. Obama has averaged 37 executive orders p.a., which is below the long-term average of 44 p.a., and lower also than the rate of five GOP presidents – including Gerald Ford (84 p.a.), Dwight Eisenhower (60 p.a.), Richard Nixon (58 p.a.), Ronald Reagan (48 p.a.), and George H.W. Bush (41 p.a.).”
I’m sick of the “Party of No”. Our President isn’t making excessive executive orders, but he is being attacked for it. The GOP doesn’t have any legislation to laud, so they are reduced to attacking our President to rile up their voters.
