“Whatever goes up must come down” is common knowledge, but do we truly understand that reality in the field of professional therapeutic massage? Not as long as the perception of energy is solely physical, I can guarantee that this concept is not being understood at all.
Imagine what it would be like for a volcano to erupt only to be covered up during that eruption. What would that energy look like once it has been suppressed? If that’s not enough what would it be like to cover over a volcano that is releasing congested energy and then continue to rub it downward over and over again countless times?
As gross as it may be it’s like buildup in a pimple that is ready to release its fluids but instead of allowing nature to take its course you knead down on it with the palms of your hands until the majority of its energy fluid is pushed in even deeper creating an even bigger energy blockage.
In knowing that whatever goes up comes down in terms of consciousness it is the energy being massaged in those knots of congestion that eventually spurt upward into the aura of an individual and unless you take the time to scoop out and clear the energy field of your client after their massage all that energy that was released upward is now on its way back downward right back onto the body.
It has to go somewhere, I mean that energy just released by the constant hands of motion of a massage therapist, if that energy didn’t exist there then why in the world would you spend so much time massaging away that congestion that created the pain in the first place?
In terms of what is holistic in massage it would mean to treat the whole of an individual and that would mean the spiritual aspect of the human body as well. Once the aura is cleared after a really good massage it can be likened to clearing away the dark clouds that hover overhead.
To the massage therapist it may feel sticky or even tingly when clearing the aura of freshly released body energies, sometimes there may be no feeling at all as if there is nothing but empty space, it is in this situation that the aura tends to move upward even more refusing if you will to be treated due to the fears of the subconscious mind of the client.
Understanding professional body work in terms of consciousness brings about a greater reality of learning the many fascinating aspects of a human being and their connected spiritual bodies.
