There are a few different drive-in theaters in the southeastern part of Missouri and one of them in the process of being built in Poplar Bluff. It’s a fun experience to be able to watch a movie outside on a big screen and kids really enjoy drive-in theaters. Plus, sometimes they can even get in for free. If you are in the area and looking for a drive-in theater, here are a few local ones that are in or around the cities of southeast Missouri.
1. Pine Hills Drive-in Theater- This drive-in theater is located in Piedmont. It only costs $6 for 11-year-olds and up to get in and any kids under 11 get in free. They play one different movie each week. Just tune your stereo into 88.5 so you can hear the movie. Their open from on Thursday through Saturday from 7pm to midnight and are located two miles east of Piedmont on highway 34 and their phone number is 573-223-2420.
2. 21 Drive-in- This theater is located in Van Buren, about 40 miles from Poplar Bluff to the east and about 40 miles from Doniphan to the south. It stays open from May to September and admission is only $7 a person. The area is big enough to hold 800 cars. Just tune in to 103.7 f.m., sit back and relax. They have a concession stand as well.
