So Many Flavors, One Big Taste.
The more the merrier, I always say. But who knew the same principle could apply to soup? These recipes below are definitely packed full of so many differing flavors and ingredients. But that’s the beauty of it! They all taste lovely together. Not to mention the innovative way food such as hamburgers and tacos have been duplicated in soup form.
Spicy Potato Soup
You will need:
-1 pound of ground beef
-4 cups of cubed and peeled potatoes
-1 small chopped onion
-3 cans of tomato sauce (8 ounces each)
-4 cups of water
-2 teaspoons of salt
-1 1/2 teaspoons of pepper
– 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of hot red pepper sauce (depending on your preference)
Instructions:
To start off your yummy spicy potato soup, brown your pound of ground beef in a large pot on the stove, being sure to drain the grease. Once it’s fully cooked, add the potatoes, onions, and cans of tomato sauce,and then stirring in the water, salt, pepper sauce and pepper. Then you need to bring the mixture to a boil. Once it has reached boiling, reduce the heat and allow it to simmer for about an hour or when you notice the potatoes are soft and the juice has thickened substantially. When this has occurred, your soup is ready to eat!
Hamburger Soup
You will need:
-2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
-1 cup of sliced carrots
-1 pound of ground beef
-2 cups of tomato juice
-1 cup of diced potatoes
-1 1/2 a teaspoon of salt
-1/8 a teaspoon of pepper
-1/3 a cup of flour
-4 cups of milk
Instructions:
For starters on your odd hamburger soup, melt your butter or margarine in a sauce pan and then dump in the carrots to they can cook in the pan until soft. Next, you add the beef and allow it to cook until it appears to be in crumbs. Once this has occurred you can stir in the tomato sauce, potatoes, salt and pepper. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer on low heat until the vegetables are soft. Then you take the flour and 1 cup of milk and stir them together until it’s smooth, and then toss it into the pan. Let it sit for a minute and proceed to pour in the remaining 3 cups of milk and let it sit on low heat until you are ready to serve! Don’t forget to stir it periodically!
Taco Soup
You will need:
-2 pounds of ground beef
-2 cups of chopped onions
-2 tablespoons of cooking oil
-1 package of taco seasoning
-4 cans of tomatoes (16 ounces each)
-1 package of ranch mix
-1 can of undrained pinto beans (around 16 ounces)
-1 can of undrained red kidney beans (around 16 ounces)
-1 can of kernel corn
-1 can of green chiles (4 ounces)
-1/2 a teaspoon of salt
Instructions:
For starters concerning your taco soup, you would want to begin with sauteing the onions in the cooking oil, eventually adding the ground beef that would need to cook until brown. Once it have browned, add the taco seasoning first and make sure to stir it in well. When that is completed, toss in the remaining ingredients and let it cook/simmer for a good 2 hours and stir it periodically. Once it has heated and cooked fully, it is served best with grated cheese on top with some sour cream, scooped up with Doritos or served alongside cornbread!
