Although there are great places to get new furniture in Sacramento at reasonable prices — any local is aware of that — there is an amazing selection of antique furniture and goods for you and your home.
57th Street Antique Mall
The 57th Street Antique Mall is packed full of tons of traditional antiques for your home. Known for having tons of vintage glassware this is a great place to look if you’re missing one piece from your collection or if you just have a few hours to browse. The pros say to try and visit on Friday before the crowds nab all the good stuff. They have been in business for almost two decades and feature around 75 different dealers. Located in East Sacramento on none other than 57th Street the location boasts free parking. Be aware that they are closed on Mondays so make sure to prepare in advance and clear a day out of your schedule.
Gothic Rose Antiques
Gothic Rose is a different type of antique store with a focus on the macabre. If you’re looking for something truly unique to decorate with, look no further. Located in Placerville, it is a bit of a trek, but it is definitely worth the visit if you’re into the darker side of décor. You can even browse some of their current wares online via their website. With prices ranging from $5-$7 for novelty items all the way to several hundred for some of their more rare wares, this is definitely a spot that has unique flavor and culture.
Established in 2008, Hand Pickin Emporium Antique, Vintage, and Upcycle in Rocklin has something for everyone. With services ranging from consignment to estate sales, you’re sure to find something to fit your style and budget. If you’re not into the antique look, check out their “upcycled” wares that seek to make the old new and relevant once more. If you’re a seller, they also offer spaces that are meant to meet every budgetary need. You can spend a few hours browsing any day of the week aside from Sunday.
Slaters Antiques and Collectibles
If you’re looking for furniture, look no further than Slaters. Their store features plenty of heavy, high quality, wooden furniture. Their store is two stories and their upstairs portion called The Twisted Lady, specializes in Barely Twist items. If you’re looking for a sturdy wooden piece that will last for a century Slaters is a great option. Head to the shop Wednesday-Friday and find out why they’ve been in business for over 35 years.
