Do you find yourself asking “What kind of Chinese Restaurants are near me?” If you are craving a buffet line, Buffet King might be one of your considerations. The question is do they stand up to their claim of fresh Sushi and seafood?
When we first walked into the restaurant, we were greeted by an employee with a smile and a very large buffet of Chinese food. Buffet King had ample room even though it was crowded. Thankfully we decided to go on a week day. We pretty much had the location to ourselves. The restaurant is nice on the outside but once inside it looks like every other buffet house. Buffet King tried to impress their customers with frosted glass designs in the front window. Then decided to include gaudy colored glass windows on the inside. The restrooms were dirty, had no hot water, and no soap in the dispenser.
How was the food at Buffet King. For a Chinese Buffet restaurant, the Buffet King offers over twenty four menu items, a Mongolian BBQ, and five different types of sushi. The family owned restaurant tries to offer a wide selection to the customers. The problem is that only a few of the items are tasty and edible.
What should tempt your taste buds?
- White radish and carrot salad
- Pear Gelatin
- Mongolian BBQ
- Steamed and chilled mussels
- Mushroom Chicken
- Stuffed Mushrooms
The things that Two Married Foodies wanted to throw back?
- Sushi (Great Disappointment)
- Pork Balls On Skewer
- Anything fried
After two bad experiences with Chinese Buffet restaurants near me, we have vowed to stay away from Chinese Buffet locations. O.K. I can’t lie, there is a glimmer of hope that there is a restaurant out there that will impress us with authentic Chinese food. Unfortunately, Buffet King does not reign supreme in the world of Chinese food.
