Each day every member of your family uses the sink, tub, shower and toilet. If you have two or more bathrooms, that’s a lot of fixtures that needs cleaning. Still, considering the alternative, modern plumbing has presented us all with a better way of life. That doesn’t change the need for frequent bathroom cleaning-and that’s not a job many want to volunteer for. The bottom line is someone has to clean the bathroom! If you’re looking for a quick way to clean the bathroom, the best strategy is daily cleaning. Clean the bathroom after every use and it will cut down on time needed to scrub toilets and tubs later. When you clean the bathroom regularly, you can get in and out in just a few minutes.
Clean the Bathroom: Daily Tips
Before you climb into the shower or tub, use the toilet brush to scrub away any obvious toilet residue in the bowl. Grab a disinfectant wipe from under the sink and wipe down the toilet seat and lid.
The biggest challenge when you want to clean the bathroom is scrubbing the tub. Before you ever step out of the tub, wipe away the ring with your washcloth. This is especially important if you enjoyed a bubble bath or shaved your legs. Use the soapy bath water and wipe away any ring that lingers. Now use the same cloth to wipe out the sink.
Finish up your shower with a spritz of water along the shower door, walls and curtain liner. Remove any soap or lingering grime. If you have a fabric shower curtain, stretch it out completely to avoid growing mold at the bottom.
After you dry off, use the damp towel to quickly “dry mop” the floor. This will limit hair and debris that may show up. Spritz mirrors with glass cleaner and wipe fixtures clean.
Products Needed to Clean the Bathroom
Having a bucket or caddy of supplies under the sink is a great idea. When you remember to clean the bathroom you won’t have to search for cleaning products. You need a packet of disinfectant wipes, glass cleaner, paper towels, tub cleanser, soft sponges and rags.
Clean the Bathroom Weekly
Once a week, scrub your bathtub and shower with tub cleanser and soft sponges. Completely clean the toilet too. Daily and weekly diligence when it comes to cleaning the bathroom will make your scrubbing time much shorter.
