About This Book:
The book of Psalms is my “go-to” book when I am in need a pickup. They are beautifully written reminders of God’s love that have comforted and inspired me throughout my life. My attempts to read through the entire book of Psalms were sometimes frustrated by my inability to relate to some of them. A few years ago, I felt led to find a way to personalize all 150 Psalms. As I began to share my reflections with others, I was encouraged to publish them, in the hopes that others too would be inspired. This book, “Psalms in the Key of my Life” covers Psalms 1-50. I hope that you find something in my writing that blesses, comforts or inspires you.
Psalms In The Key Of My Life Book Review:
Congratulations to Carol Shelton Moye for writing a wonderful inspirational book. “Psalms in the Key of My Life” is the first book that I read written by Carol Shelton Moye. The Book of Psalms in the Holy Bible is the popular chapters that is read by many Christians. Psalms have 150 chapters in the Holy Bible. Majority of the Chapters in Psalms represents Praise and Thanksgiving. In this book “Psalms in the Key of My Life,” Mrs. Moye covers topics from Chapter 1 thru 50 in the Book of Psalms. In the introduction of this book, Carol mention to her readers that she doesn’t claim to be a Bible Scholar. She does read her bible and applied the Word of God to her life. This is how as Christians that we should study the Word of God and applied it to our life daily. Mrs. Moye takes us on her personal journey of life and the first 50 Chapters from the Book of Psalms. She also mentioned that the passages are not excerpts from the Bible. I love the way on how the Author made her anointed messages in the poetic format to teaches us on how the Book of Psalms can be instrumental in our daily lives. The Book of Psalms can be helpful in the many of our decisions about life and mold us who we can be today. We can learn from Carol’s experiences and how the Book of Psalms was a blessings in her lifetime.
There is an assemblage of thoughts, prayers and composition that will motivate you and calm your heart. Mrs. Moye allow God to guide the pen to created each text through the inspiration derived by the first 50 Chapters of Psalms. Through the anointed of the Holy Spirit, she shares her reflections in actual observation of wisdom that can only happen through prayer, love and being faithful to God. God can provide all of that in our lives if we are willing to allow Him to do that for us. God will provide for His Children. Personally I can feel the emotion behind each messages that Carol written in this book rather it was a song or an inspiration poem. Again Psalms can minister to you through emotional, spiritual, peace and restoration. I read this book in one day but I am planning on reading this book again on a daily basis. I know that this book will encourage me to take another glance at the Book of Psalms and have a better understanding. The Book of Psalms can help me to apply the messages toward my struggles in my life. By applying the Word of God in my own life that my struggle is only temporary. This book can definitely be perfect for Bible Study or Sunday School Class. The “Psalms In The Key Of My Life” is a great guide for dealing with situations in our daily life.
There were several parts of this book really minister to me personally. In the section of Psalm 34(Praise The Lord) , Carol mention no matter what happen in my life that I shall praise Him in advance. We shouldn’t only praise Him in the good times but we should also praise Him in the bad times as well. When things look bleak in our life, we can learn from our storm and gain hope in Christ. This is only a test and the Lord gives us this test to see how we are going to handle it. In the Chapter of The Beauty Of God Law(Psalm 19) , Carol let us know that God’s Law is just and true for our protection. God will protect us from those individuals that have a negative agenda against us. I definitely recommend this book for individuals that need empowerment in their lives right now. I am looking forward to reading the next book “Unfailing Love:Psalms In The Key Of My Life Volume 2.”
