P&G celebrated the launch of their new campaign Nueva Latina Monologues with many lovely ladies within the Latino community.
Several of our favorite celebrities came out and attended to support this cause like Actress La La Anthony, Hot 97’s Radio Personality Angie Martinez, Actress Roselyn Sanchez, Actress Adrienne Bailon, Life Coach Laura Posada, “Orange is the New Black” Actress Dascha Polanco to name a few.
The campaign kicked off at the Helen Mills Theater in NYC where there were many guests in attendance. They debuted the Nueva Latina Monologues, written by Linda Nieves Powell. Nueva Latina Monologues, tells diverse stories of Latina women regarding their real life experiences, themes and cross cultural roads that surround the bicultural, modern Latina.
I had the pleasure of attending this event and must say watching the staged performance of the Monologues was very interesting and funny. The room was full of women who had laughs and could relate to many of the stories performed.
I spoke to Laura Posada after watching the Nueva Latina Monologue performances on stage and this is what she shared with me:
What brings you to this P&G Orgullosa Program event tonight?
Well I love attending events that will help you to move forward, will help you excel, empower and inspire and when they invited me I automatically said yes because these are the types of events that we are lacking in our communities.
Laura, please talk to me about The Posada Foundation and how you help children?
Our foundation has now joined forces with another Foundation which is bigger named “My Face”. We donated 250,000 thousand dollars to a New York Hospital this was the last donation done by our foundation before joining forces with My Face Foundation. We decided to partner up with this foundation because it is larger and our foundation could only help a certain amount of families. My Face Foundation could help all children with craniofacial anomalis and they have helped over 62 thousand children and my goal is to continue working and growing with them. I really don’t want families to go through this without help or support.
What other projects do you have planned for 2014?
Coming soon I will be launching my website LauraPosada.com. I am a certified Life Coach. I will start doing live seminars and web seminars and I invite you all to visit my site and subscribe so that you can start getting the newsletters. You can start submitting your questions and I will answer via video on my website.
I had a wonderful time at this event seeing so many talented women empowering one another, talking and having some laughs together.
