Black seed oil
I am a huge advocate for homeopathic remedies. After taking different medications for years and having to choose between the side-effects and feeling better, I finally chose a different route. Why not use what nature has already provided to treat our illnesses? The health benefits of Black seed oil or Black Cumin Seeds has been touted for centuries. Used often times as a spice, Black Cumin Seeds are said to be the cure for everything. Taken internally it is said to cure many autoimmune illnesses, including asthma.
I began taking Black Cumin Seed oil extract in January, 2012. I am still taking the supplements and can see a great difference. My symptoms have been reduced and I feel better overall; while I can say that it is a cure, it has definitely changed my lifestyle.
Increase Vitamin C Intake
Vitamin C has anti-inflammatory properties, if taken in proper dosage, can control your asthma symptoms and may help prevent attacks. A study conducted by the NCBI , found that participants who ingested Vitamin C on a regular basis showed improvements in white blood cell function. Patients also showed a decrease in respiratory infections . Once I added vitamin C supplements into my diet, I noticed a change in the way my body fought infections. A simple cold would turn into bronchitis almost immediately. When I added vitamin C to my vitamin cocktail, my health began to take a turn for the better. I also had much more energy.
Every winter, without fail I suffered from bronchitis. The best way to combat my coughing and sore throat symptoms was to brew a pot of marshmallow root tea. Marshmallow root tea is said to soothe the throat and combat coughing . This tea became my saving grace when I was suffering with chronic bronchitis. Simply boil the loose tea for 10 minutes, you may sweeten it with honey, which is also a great herbal remedy for asthma treatment.
