You may be a self-proclaimed hardcore gamer or just someone who enjoys playing games every now and then in your free time. No matter what category you fall under, you’ll definitely want to keep an eye out for these new exciting games expected to release sometime within the next few months.
Watch Dogs
Now here’s an interesting game with a unique concept and it is the first of its kind. In the game, your character has a device that enables him to register information regarding other people’s private lives without the other person knowing at all.
For instance, you can take your character for slow walks around town where he will casually pass by a number of fellow pedestrians along the way. After a while, you’ll discover that he’s not out to make small talk with these individuals but has something else in mind.
With a special tool, your character can easily hack into someone else’s wireless device. This gives him unlimited access to all of his private personal belongings like medical records, credit cards, and bank accounts.
Not to mention, your character can climb buildings and hop on a train like Spider-Man. The Watch Dogs’ release date for Play Station 4 is currently set for April 30, 2014. To all the gamers out there, I must say this game looks very promising!
South Park: The Stick of Truth
South Park: The Stick of Truth for Xbox 360, the PC, and Play Station 3 currently has a release date set for March 4, 2014. Join Eric Cartman, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny as they experience the adventure of a lifetime. In the game, your character is assigned his own occupation.
He can be a warrior, a wizard, or even an elf. Then, your character is sworn to protect a sacred stick known respectfully as the stick of truth from another race. After I watched the game’s trailer, I was surprised by how much it looked like the show. That being said, it was incredibly hilarious and it looked like such a blast.
Even though there are other South Park games out there, this one is completely unrelated and stands on its own. I can’t wait to get my hands on it this coming March.
LEGO The Hobbit
LEGO The Hobbit is expected to release on both Play Station 3 and Play Station 4 systems, as well as on the Xbox 360 this coming April 8, 2014. Even though it is the first of its kind, this game is based only on the first two Hobbit films.
When I watched the game’s trailer, I was immediately swept away by its beautiful storytelling and the talented voice acting. In fact, the only aspect of the trailer that did not give me a feel for the movies was the fact that all of the characters were Legos!
While it’s true that this is pretty new territory for me, I’m not going to let my prejudice stop me from enjoying what looks to be a great game!
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
No doubt, followers of the Plants vs. Zombies series are beginning to count down the days to its third and latest installment known as Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare. The release date for the Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 systems has officially changed from February 18 to February 25, 2014.
In Garden Warfare, you can play as a zombie with a profession. Whether you want your walker to be a scientist or an engineer, you get to decide. It truly gives being a zombie a new and refreshing outlook.
Because this is the first of the series created in full on 3D, I think it’s safe to assume this game will be much bigger and better than the previous two. Also, I believe that the clear picture and the quality of the graphics presented in the game trailer for Garden Warfare were nothing short of outstanding. The game hasn’t even come out yet but I’m already crazy about it.
It looks like there will be a lot of good games coming out within the next few months. I wonder how we will manage until then.
