Modern Era Meditation (or New Age Meditation) is just another form of meditation that requires devotion and consistency from the one who practices it, in order to succeed. Like all types of meditation, the process will enhance your awareness of the physical and spiritual world. This is what old style Wiccan practitioners call “Spiritual Awakening”. It will happen to you through Modern Era Meditation.
If you live a stress-full life (like most people), then you definitely need a weapon to balance things. Modern Era Meditation can act like such weapon. If you’ve never thought of meditation as a solution (for a variety of problems) then you might need to reconsider. Of course, it is not yet approved by the FDA as a health treatment but mind my words, this will happen in the future (this is just a feeling I have).
So what is Modern Era Meditation? You can say that it is a more modern type of meditation. An updated and more simplified version of the original meditation techniques derived from ancient cultures and texts. Modern Era Meditation is affected by popular “New Age” philosophies like “Yoga” or “Buddhism” in general. But these are just two of the most strong influences of this type of meditation.
In order to start receiving the positive effects of Modern Era Meditation you only need 10-20 minutes per day. But you have to be consistent and find those 10 minutes each and every day (unless there’s is a very serious reason). Retreat in your personal space where nobody will disturb you. This should be a quiet space where you normally perform any spiritual exercises. It is better to be alone.
The next step is to take the appropriate relaxed position and let your self go with positive thoughts of abundance, peace and harmony (not just for you but for humanity as a whole). After doing this a few days/times your awareness will increase and you are going to know when you are in the “flow”. This is the stage when thought becomes reality. It is when the conscious and subconscious unite. This usually lasts a few moments so seize as much as you can from these moments.
And that was all! After retreating for 10-20 minutes then, get out of the “flow” and return to reality slowly and gradually. Do it with positive thoughts. Feel happy and then move on with your every day life. You owe it to yourself to try this (or any) meditation if you want to escape from stress and the anxiety of life. If you want to move further with meditation, I recommend a gentleman, Mr. Robert Bruce who can teach you the secrets of working on your energy body. His motto is “You are not your body…”. I believe he is worth checking.
