The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays. The summer weather is usually perfect. We gather for a BBQ and have a nice relaxing day with friends and family. But my favorite part of the Fourth of July is the fireworks. Since many events are spread out over a weekend, attending more than one is a must.

The fireworks will be displayed at dusk over the lake which just adds to the beauty. The fireworks display on Mackinac Island is part of their Star Spangled Fourth event. The island will have many events such as the 38 Gun Salute and soldier demonstrations. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets to stretch out on the shoreline.
