Queen: What does forgiveness mean to you?
Michelle: For me, forgiveness is about being selfish. It’s about saying I will let nobody and nothing stand in the way of me being filled with love energy. When we perceive a hurt part of us closed down to protect from any possible further hurts. This blocks part of the flow of love energy from the universe. Once we let it go, forgive, we are effectively telling the universe all is OK and allow love to once again flow more fully through us. If you want to understand how important forgiveness is to our own well-being, just watch the masters at it – children. They will be hurt by someone but quickly let it go because they are aware of how vital love energy freely flowing through us is to our health.
Queen: Can u expound on this “flow of love energy” and how it is connected to forgiveness. Or is it connected?
Michelle: Love energy is basically life energy, what some call chi, qi or prana. When I talk about love energy, I don’t mean romantic love. I mean the energy which animates us, which causes the physical body to be able to move at all. We need life (love) energy to flow through us freely. It’s the blocking off that causes illness and decay. It’s not directly connected to forgiveness. Rather, forgiveness works like a valve that regulates the flow of energy into out bodies. The more we forgive, the wider the valve is open and the more life energy can flow through us.
Queen: So would you consider the opening of this valve letting go?
Michelle: Before that, the decision to let go is the opening of the valve, the letting go is just the continuation of it.
Queen: What is your process to forgiving?
Michelle: That’s a tough one, I’ve never really thought about my process to forgiving. Mostly it’s continual. I forgive up to the level I’ve reached in my spiritual journey and when something comes along that triggers that situation again, if there is still untapped hurt there, then I know I have grown since the last time and am ready for more releasing.
As to the steps I take, mostly it comes down to meditation and journalling – a lot of journalling! lol
