Tortillas have a well known and well liked food among a large number of people all over the world, young and old. They are made of wheat, flour and corn among others. Homemade Corn Tortillas: Easy Recipe
What you need:

2 cups of masa harina ( special corn flour meant for tortillas)

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/4 cups of warm water
Steps for making Easy Homemade Corn Tortillas:

Put all ingredients into a mixing bowl. Mix and knead till if becomes a soft dough. Seal with a plastic wrap and let the dough soak for half an hour.

Now divide the dough into pieces and make smooth rolls of ball with each piece. With this measurement you can easily get 16 equal balls of dough which can roll out to five-inch tortillas each.

Pat the balls flat between the palms of your hand.

Roll them onto the counter and make flat 5 inch circles with the rolling pin.

Heat the skillet. Use a cast iron one if you have it.

Make sure that the heat is on a low flame so that the tortillas don’t get burned.

One the skillet is suitably hot place one tortilla on it. Turn the other side after sometime till both sides are done. Transfer to a covered flat dish.

Cook the rest of the pressed tortillas this way and store them all in the covered dish to keep them warm.

Serve hot with meat or veg entree.
If you want to store them in the freezer then let them cool completely before sealing them in Ziploc bag and putting them in the fridge.
Homemade Corn Tortillas: The Advanced Version
Though it sounds that this version is too exotic to even try, don’t be scared by the name. This is the same as the above with just a few ingredients added to the mix.
What you need:

2 cups of yellow masa harina

½ teaspoon of kosher salt

½ tablespoon of olive oil

1 ½ cups of warm water
Steps To Make Home Made Corn Tortillas:

In a large mixing bowl put all ingredients and mix them together, the same as the above. Keep kneading till it forms soft, smooth dough.

If possible use a cast iron skillet. Heat the skillet till it is medium hot.

Roll out the dough into tortillas or use a tortilla press to do the same if you are not too sure of the handmade version.

Cook the rolled out flat tortillas on the skillet. Turn each side till they are done.

Transfer to a covered dish and they are ready for serving.
