Interested in eating healthier here are some tips on some low-sodium recipes that you can make at home on your own. Whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner there are many recipes that you can make that help you stay healthy and taste great.
- One of my favorite recipes is Banana Nut Oatmeal it is so easy to make and it’s great for a quick breakfast bite before work. Not only is low in sodium content it is also low in calories! Coming in at about 310 calories and no cholesterol this meal packs a might punch, but doesn’t pack on the pounds. All you need is bananas, nuts, and oatmeal. I like to include cinnamon or a dash of vanilla extract to give it a kick. Either way it’s a win-win situation.
- Who doesn’t love hash browns? You can eat them in the morning, noon or night! Try making some Crispy Potato Hash Browns. Instead of frying them you can bake them in the oven to get that crispy touch. I like to season with some parsley and some ground onion powder. You can also cook by pan frying using cooking spray and high heat. Don’t leave them on too long you definitely don’t want it to burn. At only 97 calories and 97 mg of sodium you can’t beat it!
- It’s almost summer time and it’s time to make some light meals. This next recipe is one of my all-time favorites as I am a lover of seafood. Shrimp and Mango Summer Rolls are my favorite! It’s a mix of sweet and spice and at only 153 calories you really can’t beat it.
