Jennifer Lopez’s Transformation of Ben Affleck: Women Who Changed Restless Hollywood Men

by yak max

With Jennifer Lopez recently taking credit for bringing some style and a more tamed personality to Ben Affleck, you have to wonder how much Jennifer Garner takes credit for improving Affleck even more. But we shouldn’t be surprised that both J.Lo and Garner helped Affleck become a better person, because many women in and out of Hollywood have helped some of the best-known men in the entertainment industry become improved from their previous boorish behavior. Because those male stigmas are still around, you have to wish all high-profile men in Hollywood would find women who secretly know how to tame the worst type of male behavioral patterns.

Annette Bening Taming Warren Beatty

When Warren Beatty married Annette Bening in 1992, there must have been a thousand bets on how long the marriage was going to last. With past accusations that Beatty was once the Hollywood equivalent of Wilt Chamberlain, even Bening must have thought she’d taken on a near impossible challenge. No doubt she had some kind of philosophy in play, at least with Beatty’s willing cooperation. He must have finally become cognizant of his womanizing lifestyle and focused on the importance of marriage and commitment. Regardless, Bening had to get that implemented from the start, though we don’t know all the details.

The fact that they’re still married today shows they should sell their formula to other Hollywood couples who continue to struggle. Perhaps part of the secret was to take time out away from making movies to focus exclusively on raising a family. Beatty hasn’t made or produced a movie in years (until just recently), which should give a hint to any Hollywood relationship.

Brad Pitt’s Stronger Convictions with Angelina Jolie

Back in the days when Brad Pitt was married to Jennifer Aniston, you could sense a lot of restlessness there and an unsure attitude about any sense of direction. While obviously not a slob or obnoxious, having someone unsure about the direction of their life in Hollywood can inevitably lead to disaster if it goes on long enough. When Pitt started hanging out with Jolie while still married to Aniston, everyone thought it was the beginning of some kind of breakdown or unraveling. That’s only a scant memory now and years after nurturing a common-law marriage like no other in Hollywood.

No doubt Jolie’s strong commitment to life choices and realizing the bigger picture beyond movies helped provide Pitt an anchor with a sense of purpose. Their charitable work may end up exceeding any movie legacy they leave as individual actors or working together.

The Future of Amal Alamuddin and George Clooney

George Clooney seems to have been in the same situation Brad Pitt was without taking a dare with marriage before knowing for sure. Considering Clooney and Pitt are pals, they’ve likely confided in one another about their life goals. When you’re Hollywood royalty, your sense of purpose has to be strong in order to not end up in a cesspool of excess. While Clooney has a strong commitment to helping others, especially troubled regions of the world, his prolonged bachelorhood was starting to become a joke. When you start attending Hollywood functions without getting jokes about it, you figure something has to be done, pronto.

Whether it’s coincidence that Clooney finally settled down with Oxford-educated barrister Amal Alamuddin during a time when those above jokes were heating up is a matter of debate. From all indications, Clooney found the wife that he’s been seeking out for the last 20 years. Now it’s going to be interesting to see how much that commitment really takes hold so there won’t be a reprisal of those jokes in another couple of years. It’s the only thing that’s keeping Clooney from becoming Brad Pitt who’s managed to become the very emblem of how to reverse every male stigma into being respected at every turn.
