Need a bit of inspiration? Invoke your inner child and revive a bit of hope by watching these three animated movies great for frustrated adults. They are ones I’ve seen that make the viewer rethink his or her approach to life.
Can you count on one hand the number of times you’ve been thanked for doing your job? Well, you’re not alone. The main character of ‘Wreck-It Ralph’ was in the same boat. After decades of toiling away in a successful video game, he isn’t even invited to the 30-year celebration in honor of its longevity. This event upsets him and inadvertently inspires him to acquire a medal that proves he’s not really that bad of a guy. In the process, he develops a greater appreciation of himself and the other people in his life. If you’re like me, this feel-good movie will not only entertain you but help you see your worth whether others acknowledge you or not.
Do you have a dream that’s unattainable because you lack a specific quality necessary to obtain it? Then, you have a lot in common with the main character of this film. He wants to be a ‘scarer’, but his appearance is just not frightening enough for him to make the cut. However, by the end of this movie, he discovers a way to turn his innermost desire into a reality. As an adult, what I found most helpful about ‘Monster’s University’ is that failure is an option. The main character only gets rewarded with a great outcome after a lot of time and effort. Also, he never becomes a ‘scarer’, but establishes another career that’s even better.
The Lego Movie
Are you perfectionist or the kind of person who always follows the rules in an effort to fit-in? If so, take a couple of hours out of your day to watch this flick. Besides featuring cool Lego designs, it sends a huge message about the importance of individuality. The main character discovers what truly makes him (and everyone else) special and how life is about choice. You’ll laugh as I did throughout the movie at all of the pot shots made at trends in modern culture such as buying overpriced coffee, but end up pondering how much of what’s depicted applies to you.
In conclusion, these three animated movies great for frustrated adults help in boosting your spirit. Watch them and get the fuel you need to see yourself in a different way.
