In the Northern Loop you will find yourself amongst thick fir trees and mountain lakes. Maybe green valleys with pine trees and vistas would be the scenery calling your name from the Central Loop. The Southern Loop provides wide open spaces with rolling hills and is only two hours away from Sun Valley. The Eastern Loop will place you just west of Yellowstone National Park and allow you to golf in beautiful river valleys.
Maybe a more drastic landscape is what peaks your interest, in which case you will want to visit the Craters of the Moon National Monument to view the lava landscape which extends across the plains. Take a short walk through the area or plan on hiking and exploring the craters and caves all day.
Whether you are into hiking, biking, horseback riding or boating, any of these avenues will help you enjoy Hells Canyon, labeled the deepest river gorge in North America at 7,913 feet deep. You can even be witness to an ancient rock shelter, pictographs and petroglyphs, evidence of life long ago.
