Out With the Old and In With the New
With a vast array of delicious after meal treats out there to choose from, here are just a few more rare delectables I highly encourage all to give a try.
Black Forest Cake
You will need:
-2 boxes of fudge brownie mix
-2 containers of chocolate frosting (16 ounces)
-1 container of whipped cream (12 ounces)
-1 can of cherry pie filling
To begin this lovely dessert, first bake each brownie mix in separate pans of the same size according to the directions given on the box. Once they have baked and been taken from the oven, allow them to cool for a substantial amount of time. Then carefully dump one brownie cake out on a plate or platter and cover it with one container of chocolate frosting. Then carefully dump the other brownie cake in top and align it so the cake now has two layers. After you have finished with that, spread the remaining container of chocolate frosting on the top and sides of the cake, followed by the whipped cream and the can of cherry pie filling. If you would like, place it in the icebox. It taste excellent at room temperature or cold!
You will need: For the cake
-1 1/2 a cup of the chopped pecans
-1 cup of coconut
-1 box of devil’s food cake mix and the ingredients listed on the box
-1/2 a cup of melted butter or margarine
-2 cups of sifted powdered sugar
-1 package of softened cream cheese (8 ounces)
In preparation for baking this cake, preheat your oven at 350 degrees. Once you have done so, spread the chopped pecans at the bottom of a pan that has been lightly greased. Then sprinkle over the coconut. Next you should make sure to prepare the devil’s food cake mix according to the box, and then pour it over the pecans and coconut. After that, mix together the butter, sugar and the cream cheese and pour it over the cake mix, but make sure that you do not spread it. Then you can place the volcano cake in the oven for around 45-50 minutes.
You will need: For the icing
-2 cups of sugar
-1 teaspoon of vanilla
-1 stick of butter or margarine
-2/3 a cup of whole milk
-1/2 a cup of powdered cocoa
To create the delicious volcano cake icing, start by pouring the sugar, cocoa and milk in a pot to boil for 4 minutes. Once that time is up, remove the pot from heat and add the vanilla and butter and then allow it to cool for a good 15 minutes. After it cools, beat the icing until it appears glossy and proceed to spread over the cake when it is removed from the oven and cooled a bit. In case of any difficulty with the icing being too firm, add a small amount of milk and mix well to resolve the problem. Once the icing goes on, cut it up and serve!
Vanilla Wafer Cake
You will need:
-1 box of vanilla wafers
-2 sticks of melted butter or margarine
-2 cups of chopped pecans
-2 cups of shredded coconut
-2 cups of sugar
-6 beaten eggs
-1/2 a cup of milk
Be sure to first preheat your oven to about 275 degrees as your beginning task. Next, crush the vanilla wafers by placing them in a plastic bag and breaking them with a rolling pin. When they’ve been crushed well, combine all of the listed ingredients above in a large bowl and mix thoroughly. If at all possible, pour the mix in an angel food pan and place in the oven to bake for around 1 1/2 hours or until it visually appears finished. This cake should cook to be a very moist and not at all dry cake when prepared properly.
