Insight for Prophetic Women

by yak max

I am one who would rather have the Lord through His spiritual gifts prepare me for anything that is coming, but not everyone feels the same way. A relative of mine enjoys listening to TV preachers who say life is going to be great and God has a bright future for you.

I thought of an acquaintance who proclaimed that 2013 was going to be her year to get her increase. During that year, there were problems in the home she rented, and she had to move with short notice. She dealt with multiple health problems, her husband lost his job and her father became ill and eventually died.

When I pointed out that many who listen to and believe this type of gospel have experienced tragedy, my family member said it was better to listen to a message of hope. He added that he did not desire to know bad things before they happened.

When you are born with a prophetic gifting, you find yourself knowing that “the bad” comes with the territory. And most, people I believe are like my relative. They would rather hear lies that sound good, rather than be prepared for the truth.

In the body of Christ, because pastors lead local churches, it is perceived that they hear from God on a level far above those in the congregation. Amos 3:7 says God reveals what He is about to do, not to pastors, but to Prophets. Women prophets are often misunderstood and pastors who do not operate in revelatory gifts try to silence them.

A Facebook friend of mine who lives in Africa, said God often showed her things to tell leaders. This is biblical as the Prophetess Hulda was sought out for council, and Nathan and Elijah prophesied death to kings David and Ahab.

When this African Prophetess came to America however, she began to hear that the pastor runs the church and anything negative” you says is coming against leadership. This teaching by American pastors has resulted in death and destruction.

Prophet Brian Carn gave Eddie Long warnings twice, which went unheeded. And months later the scandal regarding the young boys and other issue in his church were revealed. After the death of a local pastor I was told by three women Prophetess that God gave them warnings for him which he ignored.

The lack of support for women in ministry, and women prophets, does not stop anything we perceived from coming to pass, because Lamentations 43:37 and 38 tell us that no one can speak a thing and have it come to pass unless God Himself has ordained it.

It is difficult seeing that someone is about to fall off a cliff, and not be able to save them them, just because A. they do not believe there are prophets today, and B. they do not believe in women in the ministry. Just because you do not believe in something does not validate that it is not real and true.

Women in prophetic ministry need insight into how their gift may accepted or rejected. Understanding how you may be received or not will be very beneficial. it will help you know when as the Gambler sang,; when to hold em, when to fold em, when to walk way and when to run.
