Creating your own positive affirmations is a great way to create the life that you want. I have done so much research on this subject and completely believe in it. I listen to positive affirmations on a daily basis but I also wanted to create affirmations that were my own, that were focused specifically on my life, on the things I needed, and wanted in my life.
When you sit down and begin you write you affirmations, it may seem like a huge task but this is what I have found works. Write down a list of statements that you want to be true. Such my body is healthy, I am at my perfect weight, or I eat healthy daily. You can write down as many short statements as you can think of. You will write them in the present tense, and not in the future tense. Write your statements as if they are true to you today.
Now go through the list and mark all of the statements that are related to the same subject. Look at the statements I wrote above, they all had to do with health. You will find that no matter how many statements you came up with, the will all pertain to just a few subjects. These are the subjects that are bothering you most in life. These are the subjects that you tend to focus on the majority of the time. The problem is that when you focus on them you are focusing on your failings, you are focusing on what you lack and not what you possess.
After you have gone through your list and have each subject marked, you will begin to create your affirmations. You will take each subject and all of the statements that pertain to that subject and complete one detailed affirmation. So let’s say that I am writing an affirmation on health, I have the three statements that I mentioned earlier, I am going to use those statements to create my affirmation that focuses on my health. It would look something like this, “I eat healthy every single day, my body is healthy and strong, it is a fat burning machine, and I am at my perfect weight”. The more statements you have, the longer your affirmation will be this is just a short example.
My affirmations are about a paragraph each, yours should be close to that. After you have written these affirmations down, you will want to go over them, make sure they flow and make sense. You will use these affirmations each and every day so you want to make sure that they are something that you will be able to learn and remember. They should sound the same as you do when you speak, they should be natural to you.
Now that you have written your affirmations, you can take the next step and use them each day to change your life and get everything it is that you desire. Keep them with you and focus on them continually.
