Candy Crush Saga has to be one of the most addictive games currently available. When they introduced the daily booster wheel it helped a lot of people clear boards that they were stuck on for weeks (or months) but if you start to rely on them you can lose your gaming edge and be tempted to buy the boosters from their online store. Level 309 is not hard but with only 25 moves to complete it you can end up wasting moves trying to break the side blocks.
If you are a stickler for getting the Three Star ranking on every level you might have to play this a couple of times. The biggest advantage of getting that ranking is that you can unlock a trophy if you have the most stars per Candy Crush land when playing against friends. Since this game relies on social media contacts to get tickets to advance to another land and to get lives it becomes competitive when people play through the Facebook app.
Goals: Bring the two ingredients to the bottom of the screen
The toughest part of clearing this level is working with the candies that change colors; once you clear them off the screen they do not replicate but they will keep changing colors until you clear them. You start out with a couple of covered pieces as well as the multi-layer blocks; to clear this most effectively you are going to want to make vertically striped candies and if possible use the combo move of a striped candy and a wrapped candy. That will clear three vertical and horizontal lines.
The ingredients (one acorn, one cherry) drop out of the top cylinder so if you keep trying to clear the center rows you will be able to have the ingredients drop faster. Mine has always started with the acorn and when I have removed that from the screen the cherry has dropped. If you clear enough pieces of candy you can get them both on the screen at the same time.
My high score for this is 343,780 so it is possible to get the three star ranking without using any type of booster. The daily Booster Wheel can be a help if you are having trouble clearing this but choose your free boosters wisely.
