How to Be the Most Productive Person in the Neighborhood

by yak max

Productivity is important no matter what we do for a living. If you are a factory worker, a CEO, or a stay at home mom, productivity is what determines if our day was a success or not. Many of us struggle with being productive at some point in our lives. Recently I was hospitalized and since my return I have struggled with productivity quite a bit. I used to really feel like I got a lot done in a day until one day I woke up and realized I had accomplished nothing in days. I made some changes and learned some lessons, now I want to share what I have learned with you.

If you want to be productive there are some simple things you can do in order to succeed. If you follow what I will tell you in this article, you will be the most productive person in your neighborhood.

1. Do the things that you don’t want to do first. We all try to put off the tasks that we don’t want to do until the very last minute but I’m telling you if you get these tasks out of the way, the rest of your day will be more productive and you will be able to focus on what you are doing and not focus on dreading what you need to do.

2. Stop multi-tasking. When people try to multi-task, they get a little bit of everything done but do not accomplish anything. They also are not giving 100 percent to the work they are doing because they are not focused on it so they generally have to redo the work. Focus on one task at a time. Accomplish it and move on to the next task.

3. Do each task once then move on. This kind of goes along with doing one task at a time. If we focus on one task at a time, complete it to the best of our ability, we will be able to move on to the next task, and not have to come back and redo the original one. Spend the appropriate time on each task then move on.

4. Track what you accomplish. Each day I write on my calendar how many articles I have sold, how many chapters I wrote for what book, and so on. I track everything that I do that I feel is productive. If I work outside for 5 hours one day, I track that. I track my exercise also. If I have done something to benefit my finances, my family, my health, or my business, I track it. This helps you on those days you really don’t feel like doing anything. You can simply look back and see what you are capable of doing and it will give you a boost to accomplish more.

Being productive is all about being determined to be your best. If you take the steps I have outlined each and every day, you will be the most productive person you will ever meet!
