Being a freelancer who spends eight to ten hours a day in front of the computer I know what it is like to feel like your energy has just been zapped. It affects those of us who use are minds all day just as much as it does those who use their bodies all day. I have found that I am more exhausted after a full day of writing than I would be if I had went out and been physically active all day. As we all know just because we feel exhausted does not mean that we are able to relax. We all have things that we have to take care of at our homes each and every day so we have to somehow find the energy to do what needs to be done.
One of the best thing you can do to raise your energy level is to fill your diet with healthy foods. If we are constantly eating foods that have been processed and made in a factory our body will become sluggish. Foods that grow naturally will energize your body and keep it going all day. You should also snack on healthy foods. Instead of eating that honey bun grab yourself an apple or an orange. You will see your energy level increase each day.
Going along with eating healthy, you should make sure you drink enough water. Staying hydrated is very important to make sure our bodies are operating the way they were designed to operate. When you do not stay hydrated, your blood will thicken which will cause your heart to have to pump harder. When your heart has to pump harder it has to get its energy from somewhere and this will make you feel tired.
Don’t drink any caffeine after lunch. When you take in caffeine after noon, you will not be able to sleep as well as you should. The quality of your sleep will greatly affect how much energy you have the next day. If you want to ensure that you get quality sleep you also need to make sure you are getting enough exercise each day. This may seem counterintuitive but it is very important to exercise each day so that your body can relax and rest at night. If you are having trouble sleeping at night try getting more exercise during the day. Exercise will also help you to lose the excess weight you are carrying around, and let’s be honest, no one who is over weight is very energetic.
We all need to have energy throughout the day to accomplish all the things that have to get done. The key to being more energetic is to take care of your body. You cannot treat your body badly and expect it to work properly for you. So if you are tired and worn out long before you have accomplished the things you need to accomplish take a look at how you are treating your body. You can make changes slowly and receive huge benefits.
