Be A Great Communicator
Great communication skills are imperative. You should communicate in a way where your employees’ can understand. Your team should never be confused about their expectations. Make sure you have done the research. Be prepared to answer any questions that may arise.
You should love what you are doing. When you love it, it will be more like a hobby. When employees see that you are passionate, it will rub off on them. It will motivate them to do more and increase their job performance.
When your employees do a great job, say thank you. Writing thank you notes is also a great idea. You may want to even throw a pot luck, if it has been a great month. Also, offer rewards or recognition. This will show them that you appreciate their hard work. Being appreciative sets a positive atmosphere in the work environment.

Present opportunities to give your team room to learn and grow. Let them see that you want nothing but the best for them. Make sure everyone has the ability to thrive.
When a team member is afraid to try something new, encourage them. Let them know that they can do it. Point out their best qualities. Show them that the task is possible. Also, encourage your team to come up with new ideas and plans.

Make regular check-ins to be sure they are doing their job. You should always know what your team is doing. Have regular coaching sessions to see improvements.
Be confident about any decisions you make. Your confidence is observed and copied by your team. Set a welcoming and positive tone.
Be Sure Boundaries Are Set
Don’t let employees walk over you. Let them know that you are the final decision maker. Don’t be afraid to make a decision that some may disagree on.
