Sometimes it feels as if there is a hamster in my head, running a million miles a minute, trapped in a squeaky wheel, on a never ending chase after the almighty billion dollar idea. I am always thinking about how to make money, ho to make people more successful and how to have fun doing it. Before I quit my job last week to pursue my passion, I stumbled upon a variety of ways to do just that.
Step 1: Create a Real Estate Team
Having been in the real estate arena for seven years, and having been fortunate enough to gain the respect and loyalty of the agents I train, I chose to jump back into the fray as the “rainmaker” for a team of agents. However, before I did that, I had to come up with a marketing plan…and a few other things. Regardless, I will be earning a split off of everything they sell, once I know I have trained them how to sell it. It’s a win/win for everyone involved.
Step 2: Craft the Marketing Plan
A local paper named me an expert in content marketing, especially content marketing for real estate. I started an online business, and a case study to prove my marketing strategies locally after this accolade. I am using this to get in front of small business owners, get my foot in the door with larger companies and market the system to real estate agents I want to hire, all using my content marketing model as the draw.
And, of course, all of the head honchos I am now doing business with need a place to live, as do their employees. Which, ties back into my team, as it gives them a plethora of leads. Plus, at $45 per hour this model is one I can teach to my team, so that they can market that, and expand our citywide reach, while they get paid for it.
Step 3: Monetize the Marketing
One of my biggest “draws” as a content marketing pro has been my ability to teach agents how to monetize their marketing. Being the only trainer in the city who truly understands this, and even how to double and triple dip earnings on monetization of content that works for lead capture, this has been a great opportunity, to the tune of a minimum of $600 per month.
Step 4: Leverage the Partnerships
As a content producer and partner for a real estate investing firm, I am hooking my real estate team to a variety of real estate investors and listing portfolios, using events and (monetized) content marketing as my draw. Not only do I earn money on commissions and classes in this real estate related realm, but I get to help my agents become more successful without having to work harder for it.
Step 5: Tying in Cash Back and Travel
As part of my last venture, I will be traveling around the state, replicating this model, earning business, earning money and earning the network access and trust of thousands of people in the next year. To this, I am tying in my travel business, where I earn free rewards and services and dream trip perks, as well as cash back bonuses for travel and day to day expenses….and even save big bucks on closing gifts for clients to boot.
So, to recap, I found a way to use my skillset as a content marketer to help build a successful real estate team – from which I receive residual income. From there, my team can leverage what I have taught them and teach others, earning clients in the process, and more residual income for me. After that, between the monetized marketing, the events, the cash back and the partnership that pays, I have come up with a way of tying all of the things I do best in a circular pattern that will provide me a great deal of cash flow, without having to kill myself to get it. And I would never have stumbled up on it had I not given up the notion that success has to be one sided or one dimensional. If you tie in related businesses and ideas, they can all make you money, you just have to have the vision to implement it, to build successful people and understand the marketing landscape.
