Looking for foods that aid in weight lost? Look no further than these berries: Boysenberries, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, and cranberries. They are loaded with antioxidants and fiber.
My blender broke down last week, so I hurried out the door to Wal-Mart to purchase a new one. No way do I forego having my morning smoothie filled with berry delights. That’s my energy boost for the entire day!
I’ve used a combination of all the berry groups to make smoothies. Blueberries are my favorite. I started out using one of the berry groups with a little Cranberry or Cran-cherry juice and ice. Then, I became a bit more creative! I’d throw in another berry group along with a banana and a kiwi until I eventually tried all the combination of berries. The variety is so incredibly tasty, and the energy from the antioxidants, last all day. I can’t recall the last time I felt low on energy!
There have been occasions — on the weekend, when I’ve made myself a berry smoothie in the evening; just when I’m ready to relax and watch a movie. I just stick in a straw, sit back, and savor the taste.
Fruit smoothies are a great nutritional way to start the day, and decrease your weight! Here’s how I get started.
Putting together a berry berry fruit smoothie
- · Put several ice cubes in the blender
- · Add a half cup of one or two of the berry groups
- · Add a banana and a kiwi
- · Add a quarter cup of cranberry or cran-cherry juice
- · Blend until smooth
In order to eliminate extra sugar you can leave out the cranberry or cran- cherry juice. I’ve tried adding a quarter cup of water and it doesn’t take away from the taste at all.
Note: The cup size is a regular cup not a measuring cup. Enjoy!
